Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
Your local council is responsible for providing aids and adaptations to help elderly people to keep on living in their own homes as they get older, so this isn't something that the UK Government or Parliament could help you with.
You could try contacting your local councillor for advice about what to do next. You can find out who your councillor is here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors. Your local MP might also be able to help you, and you can find them here: http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/
You can find more information here about applying for grants to help with home adaptations if your great grandmother is registered disabled: https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/housing-grants
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
