Rejected petition Rehabilitate misbehaving children rather than excluding them from school
Excluding misbehaving children from school for a fixed period does not fix bad behaviour. These children see exclusion as extra time off school rather than a punishment. Attending to the support of a professional instead of staying at home for a week would ensure the same mistake does not occur.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
A school's behaviour policy - including deciding on punishments for particular behaviour - is the responsibility of the headteacher. You can find out more about this here:
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
