Petition Reduce the house of Lords to an equal number of MP

How can so many unqualified people who are unelected have a direct influence over policy made by elected MPs?
Reducing the numbers will save huge costs and leave qualified people who are accountable to Parliament. There should never be more Lords than MPs.
