Petition School Admissions: Get your child into a school of your choice.

We, the undersigned, demand that the government allocate funds for:

1) the creation of schools where they are needed most;

2) cease funding Free Schools & Academies in areas where there is no school shortage;

3) give back authority to local councils to manage school admissions;

Two in five local councils have do not have enough school places meaning that there are an increasing number of children not getting into schools of their choice.

This pressure on the shortage of school places is contributing to larger class sizes and children having to travel further to attend school.

This petition is a call for unified planning, by the government, to ensure there are enough different types of schools and most importantly school places for our children.
