Rejected petition (ALL) Pike in Northern Ireland must be returned to the water unharmed.

Pike stocks are dramatically decreasing in Northern Ireland due to gill netting and poaching. Some minority communities practice the catching killing and eating of pike. This must be made illegal so that offenders can be prosecuted otherwise this practice will continue until pike numbers have gone.
