bagworth is a small village in the heart of leicestershire. we use to have one of the best productive coal mines in europe but since it closed in 1990 we have also lost all our little busnessis in the village. the maynard pub is all we have left to show our old origanal side of bagworth it was a nice old pub that was making money but closed due to a small fire in 2008. now the land the pub sits on has been sold for housing and we dont need more houses in the village just our pub back...
