MP's and Lord's are squandering tax payers money on portraits of themselves at upwards of £12,000, its an absolutely disgraceful waste of valuable public money. If they want a portrait of themselves for their own ego them they should pay! its a total disgrace

MPs are not able to claim for portraits from their Parliamentary expenses. Additions to the Parliamentary Art Collection are agreed to by the Speaker's Advisory Committee on Works of Art.
