Petition A supermajority should be required for Scottish independence to be granted.
Independence for Scotland would be such an important constitutional change that it should require the assent of a supermajority in any referendum. A simple majority based on turnout is simply not acceptable. Such a supermajority could be two-thirds of turnout or simple majority of electorate.
