I want the law to be changed, to require the parent losing Residence after a Court Hearing, to inform Child Benefit and Tax Credits in under 7 days, unless a return to Court is Ordered for in under that time
The current system can take up to 3 months to be awarded, without cooperation from the ex

In my situation, Residence was changed in my favour unexpectedly due to the actions of Children's Services 1 hour before the Court Hearing. I am now overcrowded by 2 bedrooms and the Housing Department can not help, as the children can only be considered once either is in payment. Child Benefit will post a dispute form out, after 30 days, with 30 days to send it back, and their post turn round is 3 weeks.
Tax Credits will send the form out sooner, but still has 30 days and post turn round time.
