Petition Reform apprenticeships to only cover skilled trades/labor.
Appreciateships are supposed to be a training system in which to teach new practicioners a trade proffession with the aim of becoming a licensed professional/journeyman in a trade
Companies are abusing the fact that apprentices get paid below the NMW to recieve cheap labor for unskilled jobs

This petition was inspired by the story of the subway "sandwich artist" apprenticeship yet there are many more examples in my own local area of abuses of the system.
Retail apprenticeships waiter/waitress apprenticeships fish and chip shop apprenticeships are all local examples I have found which are an abuse of unskilled labor to pay less than minimum wage and offer no real professional skills to progress a future career past minimum wage.
