It’s disgusting that today it was announced that the profit margin for energy firms has risen to £125 per customer per year in a time of near-recession economic conditions.

I think it is about time that government stepped in and bring an end to the private energy companies profiteering from hard pressed British people in this time of recession. At least any profit made can go towards the people United Kingdom and not to a private company.

1) The government should completely nationalise the electricity, gas and water.
2) Or bring in tighter regulation with a cap on how much energy companies can charge.
