Rejected petition Delay Article 50 until CPS completes investigations on spending in last election

Successful prosecutions of sitting MPs could lead to election results being declared void.

These are very serious allegations and the penalties for those guilty of election fraud could result in large fines and even imprisonment. It's possible that the Conservative majority will be depleted and that their mandate to form a government is not valid.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Prime Minister has already written to European Council President Donald Tusk to notify him of the UK’s intention to leave the EU, so it is not possible for the Government to take this action.
