Rejected petition Stop the demolition of Penarth's Mansion – “The Highlands”!
Don't let this happen, when the Vale Council’s Conservation Officer has stated that “the building would seem to meet the criteria for inclusion as a locally listed ‘County Treasure’.” – but was over-ruled by his own planning colleagues. Save this amazing building.

This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
We aren't able to accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Local planning issues are the responsibility of your local council.
You could raise your issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them:
https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
Your local council’s website will explain how you can comment on planning applications.
Once a planning application has been made, all local residents have the right to ask for the application to be “called-in” by the UK Government. This means that the Government will look at the application and decide whether there needs to be an inquiry. You can find out more about this process, including how you can ask for a planning application to be “called-in”, here:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
