UKBA recently changed the rules allowing Tier 4 students who decides to have Assessed Work Placement as part of their degree to remain in the UK, if they wish, to apply for Visa extension to complete their study.Under the new rule, they've to go home to make fresh application to complete their study

The new rule is an unnessary one leading to financial burden and the high risk of traveling back home for students. Afterall, Work Placement, where available as an option on a degree course, is assessed by Higher Education Institutions, and a work placement in the industry is often time, offered to only bright students. No doubt, Work Placement contributes to human capital development and, enhances academic performance too; the Home office should not discourage it by imposing pointless rules.
