It's crucial that public confidence is maintained in the Police and it's important that the fight against terror continues, albeit balanced against maintaining freedoms of ordinary citizens who are statistically very unlikely to be either terrorists or impacted by acts of terror during their lifetimes.

Anti-Terror legislation must have the backing of the people, and must not be used for the suppression of ordinary protestors, non-violent dissidents or public order issues.

Creating an offence of "Misuse of Terror Legislation" that can be invoked by you or I, will permanently protect the people of Britain from state and institutional abuse of exceptional legislation which should be used only in exceptional circumstances.
