Petition Honour the Missing Names On Local War Memorials.
More details
We are Asking the Secretary of State for Defence, for the Government to make it law.
Within 12 months of British Serviceman or Woman, being Killed-in-the-Line-of-Duty, their name is placed on the local War Memorial, with full civic and military honours too.
Either where they were buried in the UK, or where they were living in the UK when they were Killed-in-the-Line-of-Duty.
Or where their unit was stationed at the time in the UK, of their death.
Or lastly where they were born in the UK, with the family having the right to chose which.
Equally all those already been Killed-in-the-Line-of-Duty, who have not had their names placed on their local War Memorial, all are equally honoured too.
That is since Second World War to the present day, including Commonwealth and Allied Personnel and Gurkha’s, who served and were killed while servicing in the British Armed Forces too.
