Our current Conservative government are under investigation by police for breaking spending limits on local campaigning.

This government has presided over the devastation of our health service, they have been investigated by the UN for their treatment of disabled people and have deliberately pushed people into abject poverty through their benefit sanctions. All of this whilst very possibly governing illegally.
It would be wrong to allow them to call another election before the police have finished their investigation and presented their findings.

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Her Majesty the Queen has made a proclamation setting Thursday 8 June as the date of the election. Once a proclamation like this has been made, the date of the election can’t be changed.
