Rejected petition MP's to give up expenses claim privileges & be paid in line with public sector
Rejected on
The majority of our gov and our MP's are so distant from the reality of life and how the decisions they make affect the general public it needs a serious overhaul please read on!
My argument is that if MP's wages were in line with the public sector, and they had no 'expenses' claims, more people would be involved in politics that are doing the job for ALL the right reasons- to represent the UK public and vote for things that matter- and to never be awarded pay rises during times of austerity that are far above inflation while expecting the public sector to be subject to a long standing pay cap!
