Closed Remove VAT on silver and platinum coins issued as legal tender.

The Royal Mint issues bullion and collectable coins in gold, silver and platinum. Gold is exempt from VAT but silver and platinum are not. There is no good reason for charging a value added sales tax on money at all. It is also inconsistent to have gold exempt.
