Many cycle deaths are a result of improper road knowledge of cyclists. Cyclist, like scooter riders should be subjected to a basic compulsory training session to use the public highways. This will generate revenue for the government as well as reduce cycle fatalities.

I am a cyclist and have completed training with my local authority. I was amazed to learn how much at risk we are when we make small mistakes e.g. Speeding, not indicating or being on the wrong lane or even, when we overtake other cyclists.
