E-petitions allow special interest groups to hijack valuable Commons time for debates that are pointless, time-wasting, or aimed at pushing through policies that are not supported by the elected government of the day and were therefore not voted for by the wider electorate.

We the undersigned are therefore calling for the e-petition system to be completely scrapped.
