Rejected petition Debate, and answer, points raised in A C Grayling's letter to MPs: 'I Accuse.'

Millions of UK citizens face the stripping of the right to travel, work and live in the EU, against their expressed wishes. The referendum, which was advisory, is being treated as mandatory. There has been no proper debate about the result of the referendum within the context of it being advisory.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

It would be up to individual MPs to decide whether to reply to any letter they receive, not a decision for the Government and the House of Commons as a whole.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
