Closed Require shop signs to be turned off overnight to reduce light pollution

The UK Government and Parliament should change the law to require illuminated business signs to be switched off at night to reduce light pollution in towns & cities.

LB Merton has, at great expense, replaced street lights to help reduce the amount of light pollution in the area. Their efforts are wasted because of a huge Sainsbury’s sign nearby which remains lit throughout the night. The M&S sign, on the same building, is on a timer and turned off between 11-6.
