Rejected petition To have endometriosis recognised as a physical disability

Endometriosis is a women’s problem what causes chronic pain, fatigue , depression etc. It states that the DDA covers the symptoms but people with the illness are not covered and also don’t have the same rights as people with a disabling illness. Why?

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) doesn't name specific any medical conditions that are defined as disabilities. In most cases, it’s the impact on the person’s life that qualifies them for support or protection under the law.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do to support people who are suffering from endometriosis.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
