Rejected petition Take Action Against Lack Of Care and Funding in NHS Mental Health Services
More details
This petiton is to urge the goverment to take action against the lack of funding contributed to mental health in the UK.
My best friend died in the care of being in mental health services in 2008 whilst at hospital. She was only 27 years old. After a three day inquest into her death in 2010, the jury decided the hospital was at fault. A young life lost when she went into hospital to be saved.
The goverment fund a small percentage towards mental health leading to many mental health hospitals and services being shut down.
People are being denied treatment they need due to lack of funds and GP lack of mental health knowledge leading to a high suicide rate.
Patients in mental health hospitals are being denied appropriate care due to lack of funding - patients are dying in hospital care.
