Petition Save the Streetlighting on the A2 between Bexley and Dartford

The streetlights on this section of the A2 have recently been switched off. On further investigation it appears Highways England are to remove the lighting columns as they are life expired. This is ridiculous and a dangerous decision on such a busy road. Please help me to get the decision reversed.

I spoke to a Highways England who confirmed that they were being removed. Only to tell me that the white lines would be refreshed as if that would suffice!
