Petition Teach the law of the UK and our Human Rights mandatory in the curriculum.

I am currently a student at a High School in the UK. I find it shocking that we learn complicated mathematics, most of which would only be useful in careers specializing in it, the history of the world, yet we don't know our human rights and the laws of the country we live in.

There are people being denied their human rights in this great nation of ours, without knowing it. People are being arrested for crimes they didn't even know existed. Why are students being taught about life in Weimar Germany but not the laws of modern-day UK?
