Prison officers are in a highly demanding and challenging job that requires readily available support systems in terms of both their mental health and well-being.
We are petitioning for:
More counselling with independent professional counsellors to deal with mental health in the work place.

7159 assaults on prison officers and serious assaults on prison officers has trebled from previous year (MOJ, 2017); impacting their psychological and physical safety at work, overall effecting the prison system in whole.
We think this intervention would be beneficial for prison officers, prisoners and society as a whole.
