Petition Repeal Section One of The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991
More details
Section One of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, as amended in June 1997, is also known as Breed Specific Legislation, which relates to specific breeds or 'types' of dog.
This has led to many dogs being killed, sometimes even innocent family pets, just because they 'look' like a certain breed of dog.
The act is flawed as it isn't the dogs that are the problem, it's the irresponsible and uneducated owners.
The owners should be held accountable for the behaviour of their pets, regardless of the dogs breed.
