Money used to support Ofsted and other education quangos should be redirected to reduce university fees.Many of the inspections reflect the data published in league tables. Why pay inspectors to carry out inspections when most schools could be graded on outurn data. Schools who are struggling could be inspected and supported by HMI. The money saved could then be used to subsidise student university fees.
