Rejected petition Refund stamp duty paid by first-time buyers in recent past or current tax year.
Surely, the decision to abolish stamp duty wasn't decided upon in a moment thus seeming unfair for people who paid the stamp duty while the government was deciding to abolish it at the same time. Therefore, first-time buyers who have bought in the recent past must be refunded their stamp duty.
