Closed petition Sign and Ratify the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons

Closed on

On 7 July 2017, 122 governments voted at the UN to adopt the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. Nuclear weapons have now been categorically rejected by the international community.

“The world is over-armed and peace is under-funded …." United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

The new Treaty puts nuclear weapons on the same legal footing as biological weapons, chemical weapons, anti-personnel landmines and cluster munitions.
