Petition Campaign for a Festival of Britain 2021 to celebrate 70 years since last one
UK has faced years of austerity - likely to continue up to 2021. This would give the British people a feel-good factor and added prestige throughout the world, which will promote tourism. An opportunity for trade and industry visits from other nations to showcase the UK as open for business

Refer to the previous Festival of Britain in 1951 and look at what events occurred from those days and consider an updated version which included London and other provincial cities. Put into place exhibitions, the provision of a festival ship (which occurred previously to promote British ports and industry). Ask other major cities to put on events that may be a speciality to that particular region (eg historical interests and future innovations).
