Petition Ban Hate Groups, Britain First & English Defence League!

Under the Terrorism Act 2000, the Home Secretary may proscribe(ban) an organisation if (s)he believes it is concerned in terrorism, and it is proportionate to do. We call upon the Home Secretary to add Britain First and the EDL to the list of proscribed organisations.

This same terrorism act declares "acts of terrorism" as "acts of persons acting on behalf of, or in connection with, any organisation which carries out activities directed towards the overthrowing or influencing, by force or violence, of Her Majesty's government in the United Kingdom or any other government de jure or de facto."
We believe Britain First are advocates of racially motivated violence and this is well documented with violence at rallies and unfettered hate speech.
Britain does not tolerate this when it is religiously motivated, why should we tolerate it when it is founded on 'Nationalism'.
