Petition Stop councils having to pay when planning decisions are overturned on appeal

Having spoken to local councillors it would appear the councils are becoming unwilling to deny planning because of the costs involved if overturned at appeal. This needs to stop or will end up with councils unwilling to do their best for the people, purely based on money.

I feel the need to ask this question having been witness to the completely inappropriate and ill advised project to double the size of a small village in North Warwickshire.
