Petition Cap train fares to coincide with the National Minimal Wage
Train fares have recently gone up by 1/3. This increase has resulted in the majority of hard working Britain's finding that they are paying more for their train journey then what they are being paid an hour.
More details
For example an individual over the age of 18 will pay £7.90 for a 22 minute train ride to work where they will be paid £5.60 for an hours of hard work. This results in a loss of over £2! This increase is barbaric and train fares should be capped in line with the National Minimal Wage to ensure everyone is able to access transport to work!
