Rejected petition Develop code of ethics/law to stop public from sharing photos of fatal accidents

The taking of photos by members of the public of catastrophic fatal or severe injury events is inhumane and insensitive. Mainstream media are governed by code of ethics which should be replicated by social media & it's users. Deceased, injured & their families have a right to dignity and privacy.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about people sharing photos of fatal accidents on social media, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
