Its time there was a watchdog over the DVLA. There is on every thing else eg; power, water, health, and more but nothing over the DVLA. Its time this stopped and a regulating body put in place.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The DVLA is part of the Civil Service, and is responsible to Department for Transport Ministers, who in turn are accountable to Parliament. There is, therefore, a watchdog over the DVLA. Indeed, the House of Commons Transport Select Committee will be questioning the chief executive of the DVLA later this month.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
