Petition Ban serving MPs holding paid directorships and significant 'outside interests'

MPs are our representatives, who, at present are paid an adequate £74,962 in line with inflation; with expenses to carry out their role. Yet, in 2015 some 180 MPs had second jobs, earning a total of £7.4m a year. Of these 112 were Conservative MPs and 43 were Labour.

This is wrong. MPs are elected solely to represent the people and should, therefore, dedicate their full attention to fulfilling this duty, without the need for additional employment.
