Barry Sheene was a true British hero and legend! Famous but also infamous for his charisma, character, witty ways and integrity as a rider! He holds a big place in the heart of many motorcycle racers/riders/enthusiasts! After winning two world championships for Britain, he deserves it.

winning the 76’ & 77’ 500cc World Champions. The infamous “V” he gave Kenny Roberts at SILVERSTONE. His crash which made him the “bionic man”! He’s The only British rider to have started from pole at Silverstone, across all solo GP classes! in the 500cc race in 1977
He’s a true testimony of British heart and Spirt. He shows us even working class people can become heroes and conquer the world!
Other circuits have been changed for deceased motorcycle riders such as Marco Simoncelli.
