Installation of wind turbines should be halted untill the TOTAL cost and climate change impact has been independently studied . Factors such as necessary back-up generation capacity on windless days, the long term environmental effect of turbines on marine life and birds, the adverse effect on the countryside views, the increased costs to energy consumers, and the balace of payments damage from the import of the steel and turbine equipment.
