Rejected petition Enforce councils to pay small business suppliers within 14 days

Local councils are taking far too long to pay invoices for services bought from small business. 4 to 5 months is not uncommon. However they want council tax bills paid immediately or summons are issued. Central government should enforce payment to small businesses within 14 days and have a procedure in place whereby local businesses can report slow paying authorities.
