Rejected petition Politicians should be breathalised before entering the house of commons/lords.
It is not acceptable that our so called peers can make decisions about our future whilst under the influence of alcohol. They should be breathalysed before entering any official place of business, and if found to be intoxicated they should be punished accordingly.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure exactly how you would like this to work. For example, we're not sure how you'd like "any official place of business" to be defined for an MP. We're also not sure whether you'd like tests for alcohol consumption to be done on entering the House of Commons or the House of Lords Chamber, or on entering the parliamentary estate. We're also not sure what level of alcohol consumption you mean by "intoxicated".
