Petition Set minimum prices for milk and other dairy products
Supermarkets force dairy farms to sell milk at below production costs or lose contracts. So dairy farms prioritise milk yield of cattle over animal welfare leading to cruelty(e.g zero grazing, unhealthy cattle selectively bred for milk yield only). Huge amounts of unsold milk is poured down drains.
More details
Milk is still cheaper than bottled water, even after recent price rises due to some dairies being driven out of business by having to sell to supermarkets at a loss, reducing supply. That's crazy.
