All public buildings, shops and businesses are required to have an induction loop so that deaf and hard of hearing people may go about their lives without being isolated ina silent bubble. Too many shops etc have the hearing loop sign showing but when asked to activate it most staff have no idea what to do or even what it is. Deafness is an invisible disability. To understand what we deaf folk suffer just try wearing a pair of ear deffenders for one day.
