I'm writing to you with regard to the worrying developments in Afrin, in northern Syria following the intervention of the Turkish military.
A distressing situation has resulted from the heavy, indiscriminate bombing by the Turkish jets and artillery in heavily populated civilian areas in Afrin.

For years Afrin had been the safe haven for thousands of refugees who fled from neighboring cities and towns during the tragic civil war in Syria.
Remembering the tragedy of Kobane, no one would want to happen again in Afrin.
I urge you to take up this matter with fellow members of the UK Parliament, who should demand that the UK government calls on the Turkish government to cease its military attacks on Afrin.
