This country cannot function without an effective opposition and the opposition cannot function without an effective leader.
The current leader appears to be blinded by personal ideology over Europe and is failing to oppose on the most fundamental issues that the country has faced in decades.

It is only through convention and convenience that the Leader of Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition has to be the leader of the party with the second largest number of seats, there is no good reason why it should not be anybody who holds the confidence of the opposition benches.

The current leader of the opposition has already lost a vote of confidence among his MP's. That is an internal party matter and nobody else's business, but that question should have been put to the whole opposition.
