Petition Allow children to start school at 4

I have been told that my 3 year old will have to wait until he is 5 before he starts main stream school because his birthday is September(After June). Why can't children start when they are 4 or start them according to their learning and only hold them back if they need the extra help

I personally would much rather my son have an extra year at school than an extra year in nursery.
