Rejected petition Ensure universities give real & deserved support to students if lecturers strike
University lecturers are planning to strike in opposition to proposals to being made to change their pension arrangements at a time when many students are planning to sit end of year exams and/or submit papers to obtain their degrees. Universities are planning to reduce support and dumb down exams.
More details
Thousands of students are at risk of not receiving the much needed support from universities that they have paid for and deserve at a time when they have end of years examinations approaching, the results of which can have a detrimental impact of the degrees they aspire to.
In the Times on Saturday there was a small article dedicated to this entitled “Universities to ‘dumb down’ final exams amid walkouts”. This should receive far more attention and government intervention.
