Important:

This petition was submitted during the 2017-2019 parliament

Rejected petition End the 'tradition' of jeering and booing in the House of Commons.

During a debate in the House of Commons we feel that there should be no shouting or jeering whilst an MP is speaking. We feel that this is unsatisfactory behaviour and unbecoming of a member of parliament.
MPs should act in a manner that is expected in boardrooms and classrooms across the country.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

If you'd like a specific change to the rules about how MPs behave in the House of Commons, you could start a new petition calling for that.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
